AIMS Successfully Receives National Energy Administration's First Recognition for a Major New Energy Technology Device and Equipment.
2023-10-30
To continuously advance the demonstration and application of the first-of-its-kind major technical equipment in the energy sector, accelerate innovation in critical energy technologies, and effectively safeguard the security of key technology equipment—particularly within the industrial and supply chains—China's National Energy Administration has organized the third round of applications and evaluations for such pioneering equipment. Recently, following expert reviews, re-examinations, and public announcements, the official list of the third batch of groundbreaking energy-sector equipment has been unveiled. Notably, the "Big Data-Based Health Management System for Typical Key Equipment (SPV) at Nuclear Power Plants," jointly developed by Hangzhou AIMS Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and Sanmen Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., has successfully made the cut.

AIMS has consistently dedicated itself to applying big data and industrial artificial intelligence technologies in critical industrial sectors. Designed with the dual goals of enhancing the operational safety and economic efficiency of nuclear power units, this system leverages cutting-edge big data analytics and AI technologies to seamlessly integrate the four "T" technologies—IT (Information Technology), OT (Operational Technology), DT (Data Technology), and AT (Analytics Technology). For the first time at the Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant, the system has enabled intelligent equipment health management and maintenance operations covering all major, critical, and sensitive plant assets. This breakthrough has significantly boosted both the safety and economic performance of the unit, facilitating a shift from preventive maintenance to predictive maintenance based on actual equipment operating conditions. Moreover, for certain key pieces of equipment, the system has already helped achieve the ambitious goal of "unmanned supervision and minimal staffing."
This system boasts fully independent and controllable intellectual property rights, along with its highly replicable design, enabling rapid deployment and widespread adoption in safety-critical energy sectors such as nuclear power (where it can be adapted to various reactor models), chemical industries, thermal power plants, and energy storage facilities. Being selected this time further underscores AIMS outstanding capabilities in intelligent technology R&D and the successful implementation of engineering applications.

Currently, nuclear power stands out as a low-carbon, highly efficient, and clean energy source. Its vigorous development is of great significance in helping China accelerate the establishment of a modern energy system and achieve the strategic goals of "peaking carbon emissions" and "achieving carbon neutrality." AIMS will continue to focus on the core areas of intelligent manufacturing for nuclear power, actively responding to the State Council's "Action Plan for Peaking Carbon Emissions by 2030," particularly its goal of "actively, safely, and orderly developing nuclear power." We will prioritize "nuclear safety issues" above all else, remain firmly rooted in the industry, safeguard national energy security, and contribute to the nation's green, low-carbon transformation and upgrading of its energy sector.
